Diversity has often been displayed as one of Hawaiʻi’s strong points, emphasizing its ethnic and racial harmony. The Hawaiʻi Visitors Bureau featured these women of Chinese, Korean, and Japanese ancestry in the first celebration of Aloha Week in 1947.
